Essential qualification required is either MLTB Single Pitch Award or the BCU Open Canoe
Level 2 and the ability and qualification to drive a minibus with a trailer (training will
be given). It is also desirable to have experience / qualifications in other NGB awards.
You will be working in different locations in and around the Lake District with a large
variety of groups in an inclusive atmosphere. You will help with the training of the
Trainee Instructors and be encouraged to further your NGB qualifications by attending
courses. Accommodation may be available if required.
Dates: 1st February 31st October 2010
Salary: £12,000 £14,000 pa depending on experience and qualifications
Hours: 40hrs per week including some weekends.

Want to gain NGB Qualifications!
Kepplewray is offering a 10-month training contract, where Trainee Instructors will work
towards National Governing Body Awards, whilst gaining valuable experience with groups.
This will be initially as an assistant, but progressing rapidly to lead sessions
independently.
Whether you have some training or are just experienced in outdoor activities we will
provide a full training package. You will be trained in house on many activities but more
importantly given the opportunity to gain qualifications. We will encourage you but a real
commitment is needed personally in your own time also to play hard.
Dates: 1st February 17th December 2010
Salary: We offer a comprehensive package of training, accommodation, food allowance and
£60 a week. There is also the opportunity if desired to be employed (£5.73p/h) to cover
evening duties and washing up etc.
Trainee Hours: 40hrs per week including some weekends.
