Dog Sledding

Dog Sledding at KepplewrayMush! Mush!

Whilst the Winter weather in Cumbria can be cold, hopefully you won't experience Arctic conditions whilst staying with us. However, you don't need snow to experience dog sledding, as a flat terrain will do just as well. This truly is an out of the ordinary experience which is run and supervised by a qualified dog sledder who has her own team of huskies. The dogs are all gentle and affectionate and enjoy pulling the sled whilst running along the pretty disused railway track in Broughton-in-Furness.

A team of Huskies pulling sledges:

  • Is a unique and exhilarating experience.
  • Will help improve self-confidence as you learn how to handle the dogs.
  • Will provide insight as to how dogs are trained to work together to form a good team.

Whilst there is a small supplement for this activity, feedback from teachers who have experienced the thrill of dog sledding all said this was a memorable experience with many educational aspects.

  • Expertly delivered our exhilarating and challenging activities are what makes Kepplewray a memorable and rewarding experience whatever your age or ability. Kepplewray offers a very broad range of activities allowing our instructors to tailor your activity programme to meet the objectives of your entire group.
