Outdoor Activities that use the phenomenal natural environment on our doorstep!
The Kepplewray Centre is situated in the Lake District National Park, one of the UK's biggest natural adventure playgrounds. Outdoor activities are an excellent platform for learning, incorporating personal development, leadership and team building; and Kepplewrayspecialises in the inclusion of able bodied and disabled people. All of our activities and programmes are designed to be as inclusive as possible.
We provide activities for both residential and non-residential groups and normally operate on a ratio of one instructor to 8 people, or fewer depending on the activity and the group's ability. Kepplewray can equip guests with any activity specific kit needed to safely partake in any of the activities we offer. We provide helmets, buoyancy aids, harnesses, ropes, etc..
We also have a range of walking boots, waterproof jackets and waterproof trousers should any of our guests arrive without their own.
The activities that we provide are: Abseiling, Archery, Bridge Jumping, Canoeing, Dog Sledding, Environmental Sessions, Fencing, Ghyll Scrambles, Kayaking, Mine Exploration, Mountain Walking, Orienteering, Raft Building, Rock Climbing, Tree Climbing, Team Building Challenges, and Wild Camping. "One of the most professional activity centres I've ever attended – and the most true to real life (rock climbing not climbing walls)"
Youth Leader Cumbria
The Centre can also supply, within its own grounds, a variety of evening activities for the whole group, ranging from a selection of ball games and wide games to group team challenges and night walks.
