Discover, Explore, Conserve and Share (John Muir)
Enjoying the magnificent surroundings of the Lake District is something which most visitors take for granted. There are many organisations, such as the National Park Authority and the National Trust, who seek to encourage us to treat the environment with respect and to help to maintain and sustain it for the future enjoyment of everyone. Kepplewray is no different.
Whether wishing to complete the John Muir Award or to simply gain a better understanding of our natural environment, Kepplewray can help you discover the hidden delights of things normally passed by.
With experienced instructors delivering sessions ranging from exploring local pond life and mini beasties in our grounds, to being out on the hills searching for the source of the river and following its impact on the landscape as it makes its way to the sea.
The environmental sessions may be an hour or two in the Kepplewray locality or a full days activity travelling much further afield.
Environmental Sessions :
- Encourages everyone to look more closely at and to think more deeply about their surroundings.
- Imparts a better understanding and appreciation as to why the landscape looks the way it does.
- Stimulates questioning, conversation and team bonding as new things are discovered.
Expertly delivered our exhilarating and challenging activities are what makes Kepplewray a memorable and rewarding experience whatever your age or ability. Kepplewray offers a very broad range of activities allowing our instructors to tailor your activity programme to meet the objectives of your entire group.
